Blessed to have known Jack through my teens and twenties and been inspired and intrigued by his stories from the mines. Listening to him talk us through his collection of (60-80?) mining lamps and other memorabilia was a fascinating joy. The stories of God’s faithfulness in trying and difficult times when accidents, cave-ins, or explosions would happen an how men’s faith in God helped them through was an inspiration. Thank you Jack for teaching me how to plant and care for potatoes! I shall never think of a bin as being better used than when it’s stuffed full of rapidly growing ‘rocket’ spuds.
